ESA Technology Broker Represented at Ox-Cam Corridor Event

Fri, 13 February, 2026

The work of TWI as the ESA Technology Broker UK was represented at the recent, ‘Ox-Cam Constellation: Connecting Cambridge Space Capabilities’ event, which took place at TWI Cambridge on 11 February, 2026.

The event, which was the second in a series of three, was organised by Space East alongside Harwell and Westcott to showcase capabilities and create collaboration opportunities for the Oxford and Cambridgeshire space sector.

With the aim of strengthening cluster relationships and position the region as a leading centre for space innovation, the Ox-Cam event brought together public, private and academic organisations for a series of talks, networking opportunities, and more.

Opening with a welcome speech by TWI’s Director of Technology, Malcolm Lee, the event saw a programme of talks from experts from Space East, the Cambridge and Peterborough Combined Authority, the University of Cambridge, Plextek, Supersharp Space Systems, CAPA, Harwell, the Satellite Apps Catapult, UKSA, and TWI (including in the capacity of ESA Technology Broker UK).

TWI’s Space Sector Business Development Executive, Dr Abbasi Gandhi delivered a presentation about the work of the ESA Technology Broker UK in supporting non-space sector organisations to enter the growing space sector. This allows organisations with relevant technologies to ‘spin in’ to the industry, taking advantage of the opportunities offered by the sector while also delivering new solutions to help advance space exploration and innovation.

The wide ranging event covered topics including life sciences, advanced manufacturing, digital and deep technologies, agri-tech, and clean tech, with discussions including the alignment between the space and defence sectors, SME engagement in the space sector, STEM skills, and funding.

It was an honour to be invited to this forward-thinking and innovative event and to be able to demonstrate how we are helping to deliver new solutions to the space industry.
