The last few weeks have been busy for the ESA Technology Broker UK team, as we networked with representatives from across industry as well as with our fellow Technology Brokers from across Europe.
We were delighted to be able to co-organise an event with Space Park Leicester, which saw 50 attendees from across the space and non-space sectors to explore how those working in areas including aerospace, automotive, nuclear, advanced manufacturing, and robotics can engage with the growing space economy.
The event, ‘Crossing Frontiers: Connecting Industries with the Space Economy,’ provided insights from speakers and panel members from TWI Ltd, the University of Leicester, Orbit Rise Ltd, Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), the Midlands Aerospace Alliance, the European Space Agency, and more.
This event was followed by an opportunity for ESA Technology Broker UK representatives, Dr Abbasi Gandhi and Vito Di Pietro to travel to ESTEC in Noordwijk, NL, for the ESA Commercialisation Gateway technology brokers meeting.
The meeting gave us the opportunity to connect with fellow ESA Technology Brokers from across Europe, exchange insights on technology transfer and commercialisation, and explore new tools, success stories, and best practices that fuel innovation.
It was inspiring to see how collective innovation is shaping the future of space and beyond as the collaboration and shared expertise across the network are instrumental in accelerating space-enabled solutions and driving real-world impacts here on Earth.
